TotD Shirt Design Idea's?

As I'd mentioned in the thread for the TotD trip, we'd like to have a T-shirt for it, plus there's a company that allows for submitting a design and then members can go to the site and pick out the style of the shirt(s) they want in addition to adding on things such as their names so this will give a handful of members a chance to see what they think of the service as something of a test run for possibly using it on a bigger scale with CAC functions in the future. (I'll bet you'd never guess my english teachers in school years ago claimed I was horrible about run-on sentences would you? :L ) Another up side to the company we're going to try to do a shirt design through, is that 10% of shirt sales can be directed back into CAC.

Now...assuming you made it through my initial burst of babble, would anyone like to start submitting designs to use or work into a design for the shirts? One large design on the back and a small one for the front left shirt pocket area. If you have something you'd like to suggest, either post a pic of it here, or if you want you can email it to me at rascal@blomand.net and we'll see about getting this together!

That's fine, no hurries right now, between work and Bonnaroo I've been about killed lately, just thought it'd be time to do something to get the wheels turning here. For an example of what we did before, here's a couple of pic's of a shirt I have, where you can see "rascal" that's where everyone would be able to put in their names/cars/whatever, on the front pocket area.

by the way...if anyone is any help with editing and enhancing pic's...I'd appreciate help with these two...does this scream "redneck RV" or what?

I'd have to say my favorites are E. Front and F. Back... or H. Front and I. Back. But I agree with you, Rascal... Leave the CAC off of E. Front and put the name only.

I am still partial to the spikey dragon in e/f/g...I like the red border.
I don't even think a graphic is 100% necessary on the front, maybe www.corvetteactioncenter.com and the member name..?

Sorry for going slightly awol on ya'll...work has been killing me and I've been coming home feeling like my brains fried and can barely put together half a complete sentence, let'alone a whole comprehendable thought! I'll promise to have something up on zazzle by the end of the week in the form of a T-shirt so people can order what they'd like.

If there's any serious loves or hates as to designs or which dragon pic's to use or not use, speak up and let me know otherwise I'm going to do what I can just trying to use what I think I've picked up on from the comments here already as for how to do the shirts...

I didn't put anything besides the one small dragon image on the front...below the shirt, you'll see "customize this design" and from there it should be fairly simple to add in your name, username, whatever you'd like to put in, just look for a little add text icon on the right side after you click to customize.

Glad ya'll liked it...I've played with how it looks a little bit on different shirts and colors, I think it looks really great on a black shirt...but that's part of the joy of Zazzle, everyone can pick the color and style of shirt that they like best.

I am having some problems customizing MrSchroder's t shirt. Zazzle keeps flaking out on me :mad. I'm going to try again later when I have more patience.

Phil's arrived yesterday. Only took 3 days! They sent me an email telling me that yellow l.s. was backordered and would be a day late. I should get it Monday. Phil is very pleased with his- I think it looks great! It is a very beefy high quality Hanes.

Oops, I just remembered I didn't get my name put on mine. Guess I'll just have to order another ;LOL

Phil decided to get NOTHING on the back of his shirt! I couldn't believe it.
So, to answer your question- I don't know.

No I have not gotten my shirts but the shirts you described are not the ones I ordered. I should have an XL dark blue shirt with C5Y2K on the front and some extra wording on the back ;) . I also ordered a med. white long sleeve shirt with Mrs. C5Y2K on the front. Sounds like they got our orders all messed up.

Of course this will likely take weeks, so I'm faced with the decision to order new shirts and return the bungled order or just wear the ones I got. :eyerole I haven't decided yet what I'll do.

Do they have a phone number you call and talk to someone directly? Maybe you can get a faster turn around that way.

That sucks Jane Ann, I was really hoping to hear they'd have a better customer service policy concerning their mistakes than that. Not that it'll make you feel any better, but I've been around quite a few purchases from other clubs with zazzle and this is the first time I've heard of a mistake from them like this. The way the shirt site works is that everyone orders their own. I don't think they'll have time to get to you on time (before Friday) at this point though. You can always order one to commemorate the occasion, even if you don't have it on at the Tail of the Dragon :upthumbs

Nope... they contacted me with return instructions and said they would process the correct ones to me - or refund my money - after recv'g the returns. I haven't sent them back yet... have debated whether to send them back or just wear them (in honor of my good friend c5y2k ;) ).
