Default Whic Cat Converter would you choose?

OK I am getting a new converter too on my 76 L-82...Which Cat Converter Dynatech or Dynomax? I see that they are universal...I am assuming my muffler shop will be able to weld this right in correct? Can I just go with a straight pipe?

I dont know how tough Ohio inspetions are but i would just get the muffler shop to run sraight pipe.Or better yet convert it over to true duals.

I've used Random Technology cats in a few of my cars and they work great. They are direct bolt in, no welding. If you want to go without a cat, then I agree with sharkcar71 and convert to true duals.

I see that you live in Cleveland so you probably live in one of the few counties in Ohio that require a emmisions inspection. I'm not sure exactly how strict they are but anything other than the original pellet type should be an improvement.

I have true duals, and I dont have to do an e-check on this car. I found out today that if I take the old ones off, my shop can put straight pipes on so no performance loss due to the cats! What mufflers now?

Great. Bud, Rare81, has Flowmasters on his. Sounds real nice but some people think they are too loud.

I just need an idea on how to cut them out! I have a 2.5" Stainless system that is welded together. Any ideas?
