I've put on several C3 tops. First step is to detach the rear bow, and install the top to the bow, using the weatherstrip and nylon cord.
From there, it's just measuring, tacking, tugging, and glueing.
The measurements between the bows is critical. The placement of the pads is critical too.

The MOST important step BEFORE you put the cloth on is to get the windows of the car to fit the top frame. You can fool for hours/days adjusting the top frame and the windows in the doors to get a good window fit.
Can't adjust it after the cloth is on. Chuck
