I can hook you up, (and it's free). I am an electrical engineer and have I have complied all the resistors needed for the VATS, Airbag, Shift Skip, Candian headlights. These are precison resister that you just can't by at Radio Shack. Just PM me your address, and I will send you my address, then just send a SASE (one stamp), and I pop them in the envelope.
The info provided by Spanishvettes is correct for basis resistor. Not precision... Here's a chart that will help you...
To make you life easy, goto the junk yard and get a connector. Most Chev use them in the visors or any place else needing 2 wire connectors. Just look for the visors with lights in them and you'll find the connector. This connector is highly used, it really easy when you find a one matching you year car. Mine was a 93, so I needed a PT146. Just attach resistor to PT146 and plug it in... This way your wiring don't damage your wiring...
Lastly, a good site to look at is
