Default Quality on DD and Miles on the Vette

This is really two comments, although related.

I was out today waxing both the Vette and my DD, which is a '98 F-150 pickup.

I use Zaino on the Vette and she looks great. But I do drive her a lot on trips - usually about 4 hours to see either of my daughters. Since I last worked on her, I do notice more stone dings. Small and hardly noticeable, but there. I will be out with the touchup paint soon.

But my real comment is OT about the F-150. Eight years old and she looks and runs great. I used Zymol on her as it needed a bit of a surface finish cleanup. Came out great. But: no rust, no problems, and the finish is still holding up fine. Maybe America (even Ford) can make a good vehicle!

The finish on my 96 Monte Carlo, daily driver, is very good at 249,000 miles.

Also, the car still has the original mufflers/pipes; hoses, and water pump. Battery and starter changed last fall for THE FIRST time, and the alt went out 1 1/2 years ago at 211,000. GM puts out a quality vehicle, hands down.

Hondas for reliability? HA!

Buy American, don't believe the propaganda.

I leased 7 Fords since 1993 as daily drivers and I didn't have one problem with any of them.
