If you wanna see it without the peanut gallery:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2CxmeHIQ6U

Those folks leaving comments seem to be forgetting this was 23 years ago. 4 speakers in a car wasn't common. There were still many with 1 or 2 speakers, stereo FM was an option on some regular cars back then. The tires were pretty revolutionary, even Ferrari started using the Gatorback on cars like the Testarossa.

That peanut gallery probably wasn't even born 23 years ago.

Good one, I remember it, its good to see it again.

C4's were the 'State of the Art' for its time.

Yes the commercial is really 80s, and terribly dated, but the car's design is timeless and I still get goosebumps watching it roll through the fog like that. Show me a t.v. commercial for the 67 corvette and it will probably be even more dated, women in aqua pantsuits and stuff, but the car will still be beautiful.

23 years ago the Trans Am and Z-28 were shown in commercials by Chrysler getting their asses kicked by the Turbo 4 cyl "Laser".

Then, like now, the Corvette didnt need advertising to sell.

First time I have ever seen that!

Very advanced ad for its time. "C4" was mentioned at the beginning.

Awesome!

SAVE THE WAVE!

Imagine 20 years ago...in a time a lot of cars here where Renaults R4's. The new Corvette was hot and it still is. Does anybody has footage of the first Convertible at the Indy 500?

Wow, I'm surprised I don't remember that commercial... I'm going to give away my age now (doh!) but I was 14 when the 84 came out.... I was soooooo into cars as a kid and just couldn't wait to drive. You guys should have seen my tonka truck collection! If I recall I had well over 100 of them. Anyhow, I remember watching car commercial after car commercial in anticipation of turning 16... that commercial was really "advanced" for its time......I remember what the commercials were like in those days. Wow, where the heck does the time go????

Yeah, so much so that Chevy dealers could not fix them; Chev had to send specialists out in the field to train local mechanics.

I wish I could d/l and save that commercial. Thanks, Mic.

While my '84 was not too capable of it back then, it now can create it's own 'fog' to emerge from.
