My Corvette(s):
1993 Torch Red Coupe
Default Interior Lights

My interior lights on my '93 coupe stay on for 10-15 minutes after closing the door. Turning on the ignition doesn't help. They stay on for about 15 minutes while driving. That includes the door lights and the cargo area light. I pulled the fuse on the interior lights and pulled the bulbs in the cargo area to save the battery. Anyone have a fix?

Check your door locks. If they are not straight up and down, they will cause the lights to stay on. Stick the key in the slot and move it back and forth until it feels like it is straight up and down. Then close the door and insert the key in the ignition and turn it to on and see if the lights go out. You should check both doors.

Default door switches failed/sticking?

Something else to check might be the door switches (courtesy light switch).

Is the alarm acting up, or does the radio/clock stay on even after opening the door?

If so, it could be the door switches. Check for sticking or electrically failing.

There's a CCM diagnostic routine which displays input information which can be used to test the door switch input to verify if it is electrically failed.

Also, if replacement is needed, it can be done through the switch hole without having to disasemble the whole door.

hope this helps.
