My Corvette(s):
1986 Black Coupe RPO Z51
Default help needed on documentation 1986 coupe

I am restoring my 1986 coupe as many of you already know.

for the ones who did not know yet
http://members.home.nl/callawaycorvette/restoration

I bought window sticker and build sheet already 4 years ago from the museum together with the original sales brochure.

what I need to know what else was delivered with the car brand new.
(I see video's, key fobs etc of later models on various ebay auctions)

I am not goaling for an NCRS restoration but I just want to get the car complete.

anyone advise ?

thanks

FWIW (for what it's worth) I got the owner's manual and a Goodyear tire card.

I have grabbed more literature at various dealers, as I can.

I found owners manual on Ebay with the leather bag and also a service manual, maybe I should buy them.

When I got my 87, I got the leather binder that contained the owner's manual, the maintenance schedule pamphlet, the Goodyear tire limited warranty policy and a booklet regarding the operating instructions for the Bose radio system. The booklet also had a state-by-state listing of FM radio stations.

I'm sure there was a warranty card for the original AC Delco battery but it probably disappeared some years ago.

The leather binder flap (at least on the 87) has three spots for business cards. The binder comes with cards that tell the selling dealer what card to put where. There is a placeholder for the salesperson, the service advisor and for the GM Protection Plan ID card. I didn't get any of the dealership cards or the ID card but the original filler cards are there.

I also found a Michigan registation for the first private owner of my car. The car was originally sold to GM Environmental Services and it remained there until September 1988 when it was sold to this individual.
