Default FBody Gathering G10 Atlanta

For anyone interested, there's what should be a great car show coming up in Atlanta GA May 26-28...saturday will be the day of the car show and best for wandering around looking at all the rides there....and I know this is really late to be saying anything about it for anyone wanting to enter...but then it's also an Fbody show and not a vette show, although there will most likely be several vette's there. Last year, there was an 06 Z06 on display as one of the highlight attractions, along with a couple of pace cars and a C5 Z05 that I remember.

You'll see what the headline attraction is this year as soon as you click the link below...well...it appears to be.....a brand new camaro!

you can read more about it here

Default Just got home....

Just got home from the show, I'll link to more pictures tomorrow, but for now I'll stick up a few of the highlights to me.

A couple quick words and I'm going to bed...if you had a chance to go today and didn't...you blew it! lol...but yes I know schedules are busy especially with CF next weekend, so I'm trying to share what I can since I went.

The new camaro...well that's still the concept car, but in person...how about I just say that pictures don't even come close to doing it justice.

Nice Photos!
I thought about you and the show yesterday, but I only went out of the house twice for Office Depot runs. We're packing up today for C'Fest and leaving tomorrow morning.

Now that I've slept and have a few minutes to give a couple more details....

A day later, and I still haven't gotten over the feeling of seeing the new camaro. I swear I had the feeling looking at it, that it was a living best of some kind and I kept waiting on it to get up and walk around on it's own, or turn to look at you. I know some of the changes to it will slightly change the lines on the car...assuming it does finally hit production...but they shouldn't be too much different. I would have had more pictures, but the batteries in my camera died, put the camera in my pocket and by luck they gained enough life for when I stumbled across the 62 vette and then one last one of the camaro when I went back and they'd closed the hood.

The Z51, if you didn't notice (and now you're going back up the page to look again aren't you?)...see the silver thing on top of the motor? Can you say...blower! This car also had a subtle flame job painted on the hood that I thought looked very nice, I'll post a pic of that too. The flames actually show up more in the picture than they do in person, due to the sun at the time I didn't think I was going to be able to get them to show up at all.

The 62 that I put up a picture of, was kind of an accident. We'd left the show to go eat at Outback, my camera happened to still be in my pocket, and on our way through the parking lot I was like....dayum!!! Look what's sitting right in front of the restruant! I told one of my friends "I thought we left the car show?" lol I was able to get a couple pictures of it before the batteries died and it shut off again, while I was taking them though, the owner saw what I was doing and came out. Very nice guy to talk to, enjoyed meeting him, you can find more pictures of his car at www.62vette.net, oh yea, before I forget...daily driver! Beautifully restored car, although not kept original...and where's our license plate fan, I have a pic of his plate for ya's!

Enough of my rambling,

Kool pics, sometimes there are more interisting cars parked in the lot around the show then in the show itself.

Thanks!

I agree...in this case, the 62 was actually several miles from the show, just total coincidence/luck that I ran across it, he wasn't even aware of the show until I told him about it.
