Default rear wheel offsets.

Whilst looking at a couple of verts at a local show over the weekend I noticed that on both cars one of the rear wheels sat further out than the one on the other side.

On one car it was the o/s and the n/s on the other.

Both cars looked very awkward looking from the rear 3 qtr angle where the wheel appeared to have too much offset.

Please tell me this is not the norm?

I am still waiting for my C2 to arrive but these two cars made me see the C2 in a different light....Difficult to explain but they just looked so wrong...almost like some kit cars look when the wheels are wrong.

Is this as common as I might be thinking and if so it it easily rectified?

Thanks Chaps

I'm afraid I don't understand this sentence.

Sorry...it's difficult to explain what I mean.

2 different cars. The wheel that seemed to protrude too much was the left rear on one and the right rear on the other. In the Uk we call differenciate the sides of a car by refering to them as "Near side" and "off side" as in near side to the kerb/sidewalk.

Point is on some cars where you get this it can be down to torque pushing the whole rear end over to one side.

So, you're concerned that the body on some cars appears to have shifted to one side then?

Maybe some body mounts are either broken or loose.

Those cars might have different rear camber adjustments, one side to the other. I certainly would not say that what you described is the norm.

That's cool.

Without seeing my car as its still in refurb I was concerned that this might be common. Reckon that the cars may not be set up correctly. Just a massive coincedence that the only two sting rays that were there were wrong.
thanks guys
