As a color, it looks good, but as "Atomic" Orange, it falls flat.

I think it looks good - but as I stated elsewhere, it wouldn't be a likely color for me because I think I'd tire of it too soon.

I'd have to agree with some others that it is poorly named. Considering current world events, GM should have gone with something more positive.

Maybe it's just me, but it looks like a bronze to me. :)

I wouldn't buy it.

I agree. But then, I thought the same thing about the Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic.

Its ok , but I was kind of liking the Hi-C Orange in the other post.. I wouldn't buy it that color at all for my use but it might look ok on the road. Would have made a great Chevette Color.

I have to see it in person to make a judgement.

I would rather GM bring back Gold.

Hi Redvette8,

We're happy to see you posting, but just a word about Jane Ann, if you please.

Jane Ann's about as WOKE UP as you're gonna see around here, right? ;)

My goodness, Redvette8!

May I call you Redvette8? We're somewhat limited in what we can refer to you by since you failed to sign your name. And Welcome to the CAC!

Now that we have the introductions out of the way, perhaps you should re-read the title of this thread. Rob asked the question of the membership what we thought of the new Corvette color Atomic Orange.

I replied in what has likely become known here as my style of accentuating the positive first, and then offering my tactful but unapologetic constructive criticism also.

I can assure you I was fully awake when I posted, no need to ask me to wake up twice in the same sentence.

Although I try to refrain from using "dumb" in my post, I'll make an exception here in the interest of clarity. Dumb is in the eye of the beholder. To some of us, it's more likely to be applied to those who can't form complete sentences or use proper punctuation. If we all acted as you have and ridicule those who think or write differently than ourselves, someone may be tempted to point out that my quote in your post is the most sensible and the only grammatically correct segment in the entire posting. ;)

If you have to ask, I'm not sure I can even explain it to you. ;)

Did you even understand what I wrote? Maybe you should just try reading it again after you wipe the coffee off your computer. ;)

And so I would again say welcome to the CAC. You'll feel very comfortable here since our membership doesn't put a great deal of emphasis on spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure or the like. ;) If we can kind of figure out what you're trying to get across, we'll be happy to post friendly replies to you! :upthumbs

BTW - what kind of Corvette do you own?

I found it slightly brighter and lighter than the Daytona hue. I liked it a lot. I was one of those who saw the Daytona, liked it, but then thought: "If I got this color would I regret it in a month?" However, time has passed and I still like the Daytona, so I could definitely get a car this color. Course I would have to do a little creative striping, etc., but it was nice up close.

It's better than yellow and not as nice as silver. My desire is not to offend the car as Corvettes have feelings. I support the comments made by the fine southern lady. Steve

Not what I'd expect for an "Atomic" Orange. They should've gone over the top, outside the box, off the chain and given the Corvette a WILD vivid color!

I like threads that have hidden surprises in them.:D

I think the Atomic Orange is excellent. I think it will be one of those colors that stand out big time in a few years. People will be saying "I wish I would have ordered that danged "Nucular Orange" way back before I blew all my money on these danged choppers"
"Those Vette molls know how to knock out a toofus or ten."

But for my purchasing power, it is much lighter than my preference, which is anything other than Black is too light. Tendonitis is a good thing.

I like it. I might change my mind about my upcoming Z06 order. I was going to go with silver this time around but now I'm not so sure. Definitely brighter than DSOM.

I think it maybe an anniversary thing. In 77 they had an orange color I have one. The dealer hand out for that year had an orange vette describing the new features and spec's. My money is on it will happen again. Also I noticed more heads turning with my 77 that with my silver 73

XL..., Jane Ann!!! YOU GO GURL!!!! Here I was reading about yet another bungled opportunity by GM--this time involving the color of a C6 and WHAMMO!!! I see this [post] by this [person] slamming your post outta nowhere with that 3rd grade education failing him/her miserably. Wow! Then I read your response. :BOW Here's to you again!>>>>:beer
As for Atomic Orange--well, it's not--really. And don't I see that same color on the FX45 SUV? Hey GM!!! Bring back NASSAU BLUE!!!!!
