Some of the club members made arrangements to go down to Daytona today for a tour and we also paid ($50.00 each just for the laps) to drive three laps on the track. You can only drive on the lower side of the track and must drive as a group, single file, but after everyone of us had finished the three laps, I do not think anyone of us was dissatisfied, many of us exclaimed that the three laps was well worth the money. I know I did, so if any of the clubs in the Southeast has not tried this, look into it for a possible great time.
We also received a tour of the place and a boxed lunch which we ate in the press tower. Plus this included entrance into Daytona USA.
Entrance to Daytona for us as a tour group was $36.00 a person, plus the $50.00 per car for the lap option
IMHO I though it was worth the price

I have a few and I need to download what I took on my camera. I do not have any of me driving around the track, but I should have one of me in the winners circle. One of the wives took pictures of each car in the winners circle

I was about a month and a half to early. Drove 3000 miles to get to Daytona (for Bike week) and this is as close as I got to the track. 
I'm jealous. Glad you guys had a good time

Here's a couple of pictures. I hope to have the winners circle picture pretty soon, guess which Corvette is mine?
6 Shooter, With the S2 IS I could not see the LCD panel at all, and yes it was on. I had to use the view finder
I just finished trying that new Turtle wax "Ice" so far it is looking quite good. leaves a deeper wet look then the Turtle wax Ultra Gloss. Goes on real easy, almost like spreading water. Do it just like the instructions state wipe down the complete car then wipe off with a microfibre Quote: |
