 2006 LOWLY polished wheels
Could someone give me some insight on the new wheels for the 2006 C6?
I love everything about my new C6 except . . . the wheels. I love the wheel design itself but, they're advertised as "Highly" polished aluminum wheels but I gotta' tell ya' . . . there's nothing "Highly" polished about 'em. Comparing them to my 2004's highly polished wheels, the difference is night and day. They 2004's are simply beautiful without the powder coating they now put on the 2006's and the lustre of highly polished aluminum is a beutifully unique look that most wheel manufacturers strive for and thus command the most appeal and price.
Why would they do this? Would it be because the previous customers were too lazy to clean the brake dust off their wheels and complained enough for GM to take heed to spray on that crap . . . powder coat them? Or, was GM simply trying to acheive that dully polished european look?
How realistic would it be strip that powder coating off so I can truly "highly" polish them and make them as polished as my 2004's ?
