Today was the day I planned to play hookey and give the car the full zaino treatment. Dropped my youngest off at school and on the way back home what do I see falling from the sky--SNOW! Yikes, back to work as I guess hookey day is moving to Friday. Ah, the vagaries of New England spring weather. Opening day at Fenway has seen its share of snow outs, fingers crossed for next Tuesday.

We have the same thing here in CT...however, we got the privilege of a Presidential visit with the accompanying gridlock...They actually shut down the busiest corridor in the US (Interstate 95) from New Haven to Bridgeport. And I know they did it just to **** "me" off....;LOL

So do your senators but, hey, the weather is really Bush's fault so don't go blaming yourself.:L

I would be happy to debate the comparable merits of each of our congressional delegations although that might move this thread to the edge. But who cares 'cause this is New England and the weather changes more often than my son's underwear--its a sunny day and the beast is going for a ride.

Well, when I left the house and headed west it was sunny but cold. Arrived in Connecticut and it is cloudy, cold and foreboding. Spring is schedule to make an appearance next Monday, just in time for Fenway Park opening day on Tuesday. 3 games into the season and Sox lead the Yanks by 1 game--all is right with the universe--only 159 more games to go.

Not to hijack the thread, but I went to see my beloved Phillies play my beloved AL team, the BoSox on Saturday. Phils won (pre-season doesn't count though), but the Sox fans that were in Philly, IMHO, way outnumbered the Philly fans. Good bunch of people you guys are though. I welcome your fans to my stadium anytime!! :upthumbs

If I hijack a thread I started and nobody cares is it really a hijack? Right after Carlisle 04 my son and I went to Phili and saw a game. As much as Fenway is a beloved artifact of an ancient civilization and thus awe inspiring, the new stadium you guys have is awesome, probably the nicest I've visited. Beside that, we saw your starting pitcher hit a 2 run shot, something we don't get to see with our brand of baseball. Baseball, hotdogs, apple pie and Chevrolet. See that, there is a connection between baseball and the cars we love, thread officially not hijacked.

PS, any time you find yourself in Boston let me know and we can take in a game.

That's something we don't get to see a lot of either!! :L

Citizens Bank Park is a sweet place to see a game. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Even the standing section (Ashburn Alley) is a beautiful view.

Thanks for the offer Inirenberg. Just so happens a few of us are considering a trip to Fenway this season sometime. I'll let you know more when/if we finalize the plans!!!

I pick up my car the week of April 21-28, and I can't wait. I wish they'd start cleaning up the roads here in central MA, though.
We've had such nice weather, you'd think they'd have them cleaned already.

Which explains why I moved here from Springfield!

If it's any consolation... the weather hasn't been so great here is "sunny SoCal" either. For about the last 5 weeks, it has rained every 2nd day or so. However... opening day was dry. :D
