It's sad to see any Corvette in this condition :cry

I did a search of our Registry and this L81 is not in our database. I would love to see or get the Information to document it's existence and fate.

It would be a REALLY SAD thing if this were the CODE 24 Corvette :eek

In 1981, .... ,.. ONLY ONE car was built with the paint Code #24 ;) It is a Bright Blue Metallic (Laq ~ St. Louis Built), so the S/N for this car shows it was St. Louis Built... what are the odds of it being the Code #24 ;shrug with each documented 1981 the chances get better ;)

Why when I post a reply in this thread, I receive an option for the following

You may choose an icon for your message from the following list:

But not when in other threads. I like this option

I'll take a w.a.g. ;)

It probably has to do with upgrades to the software we use here at the Action Center. Rob continues to keep our software current and updates it regularly. In most case's he gleens the site and trys to keep it fairly un-noticeable to membership.

The Icons at the bottom of this forum are probably related to a software upgrade somewhere along the line. My personal opinion (fwiw) of these Icons is just glitter and more memory that really isn't needed ;) But ... that's just my opinion :) Kind of like signatures that take up more space in a thread than the text entered :eek ;LOL

About This Part of your questions (http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?p=694982#post694982) ;shrug

Thanks,

I totally understand the memory/storage issue. I could live with just these icons

Looks like an original blue door jamb to me.

Have to take heart that somebody wanted the car , and hopefully it will be put back on the road.

Mike,

You can pm, email or post the last 6 digits of the VIN. You could also go to the Registry and look through the S/N..

That's a shame. For the $ though, it'd be a nice project to rebuild with BBC in it. All you really want for that kind of project is the frame and body anyhow.

If I only had the dough to do it... :ugh
