YES, it seemed many of the area Corvette owners needed a break from rebuilding and cleaning up after Hurricane Katrina. As word spread thru lower MS and LA, our list grew from 8 cars to over 35 in a month!
We all stayed at the Isle of Capri Resort Hotel in Natchez, MS.
They set up special, secure parking for us and gave us all half price buffet tickets as well as $5-$25 on our players club cards.
The weather turned cold and wet, so instead of historic carriage rides thru Natchez, we toured three of the Antebellum Homes Saturday morning. That afternoon the Mississippi Corvette Club of Jackson, MS brought 12 more cars down and took up on a cruise up the Natchez Trace. A short stop at Emerald Mound, another run up to the Ruins at Windsor, and lastly, a twisty cruise up Old Rodney Road into Port Gibson, MS.
That evening we all sat down for food and fellowship at Cock of the Walk back in Natchez, MS.
We finished up the weekend with a tour of the Old South Winery and then Longwood Plantation before heading back to our homes.
Thanks everyone for coming along!
