steering centered NOT

Had the

Had the steering rack replaced on wifes 88 Cutlass
Wheel centers, almost, but if it is turned slightly to right or left it does not center itself. She hasn't mentioned it. Is this detremental to any portion of the steering? I suppose it is easy to rectify?

Is there any slop in the steering? There is a coupling at the end of the steering wheel that couples to the steering rack. I had my rack replaced on my 87 Lesabre and they didn't tighten the bolt on the coupling all the way, it did the same thing you describe.

No it is all tight.
I WILL take it back immediately if not sooner for an inspeciton.
