Hi All,
I am new to this forum and after posting this question on the main forum, I was advised to use the PNW one, which I now know exists. Thanks Tammy!
I have started looking for a C5 '98-'01 and am getting close to needing to do my knockout best in getting a potential buy or two checked out. I have learned loads by reading the CAC forum for weeks, and yet I am still a babe in the woods when it comes to knowing for the Seattle area which Chevy dealers or specialty shops can do a great job checking out a find. Can anyone who has been through this process help this greenie? Even hearing about the place you feel good taking yours to for service would be real helpful.

Well there is Pacific Corvettes down by Tacoma. They do have a web site where you can ask questions. I have been to there location a couple of times. They have complete repair services and a good supply of new and used parts.
May be a place to check out for yourself.

Gary,
Whoa, almost a month to find out there are actually covette owners alive and well in the PNW! In any event, thanks for the tip. I googled and found Pacific Corvette, is in Puyallup (http://www.pacvette.com/wa/index.shtml). From other research to date I have also located Brad's Custom Auto (Everett?), Speedware (Redmond), Rick Stark (Kirkland) and Corvettes of Auburn. Interestingly no tips have bubbled up about especially good Chevy dealers yet. Thanks again, Fred.

Fred,
You mite check out Rodinson Chevolet in Marysville. I haven't dealt with them myself, but have heard nothing bad about the dealership. They always seam to have a supple of Vettes on the lot when I drive by.
Hope this helps in some way. Good luck on your search and remember to WAVE.

Hi there Gary,
If this message ended up on one of the main forums, it might get a lot of response---could be interesting. Why? After driving quite a few vette's, with owners feeling pretty comfy about adding $5k or more than Kelly or Edumunds supercalifragilistic category before spring is even in full swing, I started looking at the new Mustangs. They are not a vette, but my engineering mind keeps coming back with how much fun for the buck they are along with a touch of practicality AND first class safety with side bags for roll-over protection and great NTSA results already available for the 2005 model for less than $30k. It has been quite discouraging to only have anicdotal evidence of safety of the vette---kind of like the same mindset you need before becoming a biker. I was even driven to try to get as emotional about mustangs as I was getting with vette's by sending for Bullitt from Netflix. Is McQueen actually double-clutching on upshifts or is that just another Hollywood weird thing? Anyway, I am still having fun sorting things out...

Hi Fred,
Will I know what you are saying. So, first I'll say try contacting Blade Chevrolet in Mount Vernon. Mama just perchased her new 2006 AVEO (green car) from them and they were great. I know they have 1 new C6 and a used C5 there. We dealt with Jason Moses; very easy to work with. No pressure at all.
Now for the other side; I'm thinking of selling my C3 and get something like what you are saying. A trunk, more inside space and less costly to get parts for. I've had 4 C3's now and I'm not sure what life would be like without one. So if you know someone looking for a good driver tell them to talk to me.
Yes, he was double clutching that mustang. Great movie !! Well keep me informed and if you ever get up to the north end let me know.
