My Corvette(s):
81 White/Cinnabar, 95 LT1 6sp, 96 CE LT4 sil/blk
Default Anyone have a Beige with Cinnabar interior?

The first Corvette I looked at when I was ready to buy was a Frost Beige with Cinnabar leather interior. If it had been a 4 speed I would have bought it. I have been looking for this color combination ever since....and I think I have seen only one. Is the color combination really rare? Anyone have one of these?

Thanks,
LannyL81

Lanny,

Here is some information from the Registry Data Base
(Some of the codes are incorrect for the mfr. plant . Tim or I need to set some time aside and review the older codes verses VIN)
St. Louis Built
Bowling Green

Thanks Bud.....according to that information there were only two cars made from each location with the Beige/Cinnabar leather and 4 sp combinations.....I would have been looking for a very long time before I found one!!!

Wonder what the difference is between the two color numbers for beige, 50 and 59?

May be some day I will find that one car for sale.

Later,
LannyL81

The difference in the code is to indicate (Code 59) St. Louis and (Code 50) Bowling Green

LannyL81,
I bought my 81 coupe here in South Florida about a year ago ---frost beige with cinnabar rust interior. Just over 43k miles. Automatic, a/c. Beautiful condition. Fell in love with it right away. Guy I bought it from talked about the rare color combination and now that I'm looking all the time, haven't seen a similar one yet. He gave me a copy of March 2003 issue of Corvette Fever which features an article and great two-page color picture of a New Jersey guy's frost beige 81 coupe with what he calls "a very rare interior color on this 81--Cinnabar Rust." Change the license plate and it could be my car in the magazine.

Hmm, I suppose I should check the exact color combination on mine, but I seem to like it. I think I'd want a black shark too though... I bought this one specifically because it was a 4 sp, though I might convert to a 5sp.
