My Corvette(s):
96 grand sport
Default 65-66 427

would anybody be inerested in a 427 engine?casting # on the rear of the block is 3869942,cylinder head # is 3873858.the stamped number on the front of the block has been ground down(i was told the engine was probably from a stolen car and i can see no other reason why it was done!the guy i got the engine from has had it since 1980)the engine has been rebuilt with c&a rod,main bearings and rings.the crank is original with the motor as are the rods.the pistons are 13:1 trw.the block has never been bored,nor has the crank been machined(was estimated to have less than 20,000 miles on the engine before it was tore down to install the higher compression pistons)the date code on the side reads: L 19 5.it is a 4 bolt main block 427 425hp?we are planning on installing the motor in a 69 camaro pro-street project but thought it may be worth more to somebody restoring a 65-66 vette as it is from that era!if anybody is interest i can email some pics.

since we do plan on using the engine in our 69 camaro i would like to get enough $$$ to replace it with another big block.the new 572 is $13,000 so it would have to be somewhere around that
