Default valve cover leak

i had my valve cover changed last week i noticed a ton of oil on the engine when it was up on the lift for an oil change,,my question is how do i clean all the oil off the engine..i am afraid to power wash ..i have engine brite but after reading a few threads about cars not starting after cleaning i am stumped as to how to get it clean..

I think the threads you are speaking about are cars with Opti-Spark...Your car doesn't have it...you car use the detergent and powerwasher...just don't go crazy and blast it with 3500 PSI blast. and stay away from the distributor...it can take getting a little wet, but you don't want to drench it.

I have washed mine several times. If you use several treatments of cleaner, and rinse off, you will have no problems. If it would make you more comfortable you could put a plastic bag over the distributor.
