My Corvette(s):
Default ..."the circus comes to town" ---> 1,200 hp +

My wife asked what circus pulled into town, as our house shook on its foundation from all the Corvette Thunder in the driveway all lit up at once

Truth of the matter was, no circus for the new year, just about 1,200 hp of our Corvettes all rumbling in the driveway as I lined them up for a picture

The two black cars were proabably the loudest of the bunch with the one on the far right being the most aggressive of the bunch

After a long day of yardwork, it was nice to get the cars out and about for a few minutes - it is supposed to rain for most of the coming week

Thanks guys

It was fun moving the cars about in the driveway - I think the black cars were the loudest of the bunch

It was good to fire them up and move them about - I added StaBil to the red car and once the rain ends (whenever that might be ) I will tuck that one away too..

Ohh well, beats snow, right

Enjoy your New Year

Way to go, not a front plate or inspection/tax sticker in the bunch!

Hey, you'd said on CF that the regular black one makes ~250 wheel horsepower. I always just figured it was pretty stock, I mean you have much more powerful cars, why bother with bolt-on stuff. What all have you done to it?

Bob, most of the decals on the glass were "removed" for the photos

Front tags, the black on on the far left has one - under the nose The AeroBody cars - Forget it!

That black car on the left made 249 rwhp w/ a VERY free flowing exhaust and a a chip from performance resource - timing was set to 12 deg. and everything else was verified "in order".

It made some good power - other L98's that same day, same vitage were in the 208-220 rwhp - the one @ 208 hp had something like 200 k mi on it

The caption 89X2 is wrong. I count 3 1989's and 1 1993 That equals 89X3+93

I'll go one better Chris, I actually "DROVE" mine several times over the holidays-hehehehe. Boy does she like that cool crisp air. I did most of the driving in the evening as my inspection sticker has a big neon light saying pull me over...it expired 8-05. That just adds to the excitement. Chris your stable is getting pretty big with 1200 horses!!!!!!

I had some fun in the red car over the weekend - filled the tank for the winter after adding Sta-Bil

It has now been raining for 2 days - glad I got the drive in when I did - we could have it worse, we could have snow on the ground

You could scrape it out... At least that way it's not so obvious the car needs an inspection.

I'm going on about 4 years of luck with the Aurora with no inspection sticker or front plate (though I do get it inspected, I just hate the sticker in the window), and the 'vette has never displayed a sticker since I've owned it. I guess maybe it depends on where you live, though, as to whether you might get pulled over for that.

Thats a good idea. When I see an officer I usually run the windshield wipers to distract them-hehe. I like to keep my cars up to date on inspections, front tags.....as it's hard enough driving a stick while drinking a beer, smoking a joint, going 100mph over the speed limit and fondeling my babe all at the same time and then worrying about being pulled over for something silly- hehehe

...took the black Callaway out for a spin last monday, as I had someone come and look at the car - Once it was warmed up, I put my foot into it, which reminded me how amazing these cars are

The back end planted at a 40mph roll and TOOK OFF! Into the next gear, the car rocketed forward and felt like it was going to lift off for flight as the speeds rapidly climbed

Running "through the woods", the streets offer no shoulders for bogies to sit on however, not wanting to push my luck, I motored back home

Allowing the car to cool down first, she is back in the garage, tucked away for now - it is raining again

Anyone still driving their cars this winter???

I drove mine yesterday!!! Nice cool day to spool her up. I also took her out for date night on Friday. We had to drive 2 hours each way to the resturant- almost completly on back roads. I had a beer (I only had one but it was a 72ouncer) so Stephanie drove back. She hasn't driven the dragon for at least 1 year and she drove that thing like it was her daily driver. Just goes to show you how user friendly these cars are. I told her I needed to get her one and she said she would remind me in the morning-hehe. When she reminded me in the morning I reminded her that I didn't say when.
