If you could bring one option from the Corvette's rich history forward in an updated version to the C6, what would it be... and why?

For some reason, I can't vote! But if I could, I'd certainly go for the '67 Stinger hood!:D

For me it's a toss up between the stinger hood and chrome bumpers. If there was an option for both, I'd have selected it. Since there wasn't, I went with the stinger hood.

This is a great poll. I would love to see the stinger hood AND the side exhaust. I ended up voting for the stinger hood. I love this hood so much that I put one on my 64.

SIDE PIPES!!!

I've had them... and I miss them! I think they just make the car stand out.

Chrome luggage rack!! They are either loved or hated, but I have always loved the look...even with a load of luggage strapped on for a road trip! :L Different strokes..........

Folks, you can vote for more than one item but you have to check them all before you hit the vote button!!

Side pipes. I will eventually get a set for my 72. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Side pipes, big block and the 'stinger' hood would be a cool list of options.

Two tone paint jobs with pin stripes would be nice.

At this point, I don't think chrome would work on the car... but maybe I just have no imagination :D

vote for big block gets hood by default, same as 65--big guy needs more room

side pipes were neat...but i have hearing loss in left ear, probably due to street pipes more than race cars where helmet protected ears

oh yeah--still have scar tissue on legs from the racer side pipes, today

oh yeah--still have scar tissue on legs from the racer side pipes, today Yeah, but I betcha didn't do it much more than once! (unfortunately, that's about all it takes, and a big reason why I don't have 'em...) :L

Had to vote "Other".

I would definately order T tops. The single Targa top is light but bulky and difficult to handle. Besides, I often used to run with only 1 panel out.

I'd also like the fiber optics to all the running lights. :)

How 'bout another "Stingray"... Seems to me they could use this cool handle again.

I have always thought GM was missing the boat by not capitalizing on the retro craze and bringing back the name. But should it be "Sting Ray' or "Stingray"
Also I think they should bring back the '67 - '72 style front fender vents. Too bad that wasn't listed on the poll.
:D

You're right, I've always liked "Sting Ray" better. They did it both ways, but I like the two word incarnation better...

yup--once was all it took...sad part was mini-skirt types (those WERE the good ole days) who left fried pantyhose on the right side..good part of that was that a tube of 'ungentine' was always in the glove box (pocket) ready to be 'gently' applied

"Big Block" . . . "Stinger Hood" . . . "Side Pipes" . . . ? ? ?

[sigh] . . . I miss my '67 427/435 Roadster . . . but, I don't have $100,000, so I'll just have to keep dreaming . .

I voted for a stinger hood, side pipes, and other. The other being t-tops. I loved them on my old '78. Even the Z06's could have t-tops because the cross member would still be there to provide the support, even with the tops down.

If side pipes were added, I think they would have to be intigrated into the body molding of the car, somewhat like the early '94-'96 Vipers. I dont think having a big pair of side pipes running under the car (ala C2 & C3's) would work with the lines of a C6.

A stinger hood would be awesome, especially on a Z06...

a 572 big block..fuel injected...chrome wheels....modified 67 big block hood...louder side exhaust molded in like the vipers..huge tires in rear...and...a couple of Divas..to keep it clean....

Sidepipes, gotta have em. The sidepipes would probably look like the C6.Rs.

Probably corny, but I didnt vote. I just think that each generation is unique in their own way. To bring back things from the good old days, probably for most is a great thing. Even with the lack of these things the new cars are equally as great. However it is all these things mentioned that make the older cars great. Although a big block and a stinger would suit me just fine. haha

Bring back the Star wars dash from the early c4s, updated with display screens instead.

How about the option to order only what you want on the car? The ordering by option group still has way to much I would not want. Dual air, traction control, power seats, whiz bang stereo, power everything, navigation, xm radio, on-star etc. I'd like to order one with the engine I want (LS7), abs brakes, choice of paddle shift auto or 6-speed manual, suspension (Z51) and rear gearing. It wouldn't need carbon fiber and magnesium parts if you could order it "stripped", and the price would have to be a lot cheaper. You have to wait when you order one anyway, so why not get it YOUR WAY? So much for my ranting, as it will never happen. I liked the good old days when you paid only for what you wanted.

I know what you mean, coolblu... My 73 coupe has the L82 and the rear window defroster... That's the extent of options. I've kept it that way too!!

Just curious, why wouldn't you want traction control in a car like that?
That would be a must for me.....I think! -John

GM has adopted the old chrysler corp philosophy--"we will build what we want to and the customers will HAVE TO LIKE IT "

can you say "achtung"
