Oil Pressure @ 129 PSI Faulty Sending unit???
This appears to be a common problem, as I have read other threads about it here. Just wondering if anyone has determined if driving with this fault will cause any further damage! Yeah, I know that I will not know if I have a real problem, but the earliest I can get around to repairing it, will be the weekend. Thanks for the link and procedure listed elsewhere in the forum. Looks like it makes it real simple to go through.

No problem. It took me a month before I replace it. Driving with a bad sensor will not hurt anything else. However, if there is a real oil pressure problem or if your oil pump go south, you will need a new engine. Also check the oil lever regularly. This is a risk you accept.

Ditto. I replaced mine after a couple of weeks. To replace the intake manifold has to come off or move forward about 6 inches or so. Be careful and get the itsy bitsy hose that is on the back of the intake manifold hooked back up or you will not have the HVAC vents work correct.
Mine was bad as well, it was pegged out at 130 PSI. This was my 1st vette so I didn't want to mess around with something I knew nothing about so I took to the repair shop. They said my head gasket was too thin and might have let oil leak so they changed that to; gasket oil pressure sensor and labor was $165.00.
