Default Hood/Trunk Hinge Ideas

Need a hinge for a hood or trunk? Here is an idea that is real cheap. It uses cabinet grade plywood (five ply) and fusor? (Like bondo) This is for a hinge for a hood on a 57 retro vette. It is solid, you can push on the side of the hood and it does not move.. He used an aftermarket hinge on the trunk which is still a problem.

The hood was notched in the brace and fusor used to bond it into the hood.

He used a piece of aluminum between two pieces of wood underneath with a pin to hold it up.
