Default Darn!!! I HATE delays!

just called to check on my carb that is out for rebuild.
Turns out the guy in now away on vacation and won't be back until Monday.

I'm going to have everything all back reassemblied in the next couple of days and looks like i'll be waiting until Mon until I can even get hold of this guy and see what the status is and how much longer the carb is going to be.

I'm going to end up having everything all ready to go and not have a carb to put on the car to be able to start it and test out everything, check for leaks, etc.

grrrrrrrrrrr %&^*@#&$#

This is one of the funnest rants I've ever seen...Berry, you have your panties in a bunch.......I hope he didn't take a two week cruse...you'll hunt him down and hang him from the yardarm...after he rebuilds your carb in his cabin.

Rick, I can still start it to check for leaks on my reassembly, redo the timing, etc.

Jon, glad you enjoyed it. BTW, i don't wear panties (well, unless they are thongs ).
If he's on a cruise, he BETTER have taken my carb with him to rebuild because I need it back now.

Well Barry, you're getting so good wrenching on these things I suggest that go get your carb, bring it back, and rebuild it yourself !

Yep, you have to plan on delays especially around the holidays. I had to wait 2 months on an input shaft for the tranny. Now I wanting on a billet rearend housing, hoping for feb. 2006 . But thats reality. Just keep at it and it will come together.

Bernie, funny, very funny!

Chuck, yes, I know delays are normal, but i'm not a patient person by nature.

. And this impatience from a guy who waited "Patiently" for ..........months and months and months for his vette to be painted! You knew I couldn't let you away with this one didn't you? Barry, don't tell us you have no patience left! .

You can tell you are really enjoying getting into working on the engine and using all your tools . Now instead of being relieved you have time in between things you are trying to pull things forward to fit YOUR schedule. Hat's off to you Barry, you've really gone at this full throttle and you're asking questions a lot of us were hestitant to ask or thought we knew the answers to already. With all the experience from so many replying there is a true wealth of knowledge being shared and most of us are learning things and having fun WITH you. Thank you! Keep smiling and having fun with it, we are all enjoying the posts

Doug

Hi Doug

yep, I really am a very, very impatient person. The paint job was a different story as I knew it was going to take a long time from the very beginning. doesn't mean I wasn't impatient, just meant I knew going in what to expect. Why do you think I was at the shop at least once or twice every week it was there - I wanted to see progress.

BTW, of COURSE I want things to fit around my schedule, don't you know the world revolves around me?

Now I need to find this guy and tell him to get off vacation, get home, finish my carb and get it back to me.......... by tomorrow!
