Door glass lower channel dimension

I finally got to install the door glass in the lower channel and I obviously got it wrong, because the window is tight in the front and rear window run when I lower the window. I am looking for a dimension from the lower door front glass to the front of the lower channel, or the lower door rear glass to the rear of the lower channel. Also, any tricks to remove the glass from the lower channel. I used soap and muscle to get the glass and tape into the lower channel. Again, any help would be appreciated.
Its a 66 roadster. Also, the both windows were seperated from the channels when I bought the car so I have no reference. This is year 5 and its getting close to completion!

Joe sorry for the delay. what holds the glassr in the tracke is it glued? the reason I ask is maybee you could just let it sit in the track and run it up and down and see where it wants to settle in.

Or could it be that the runs are not adjusted correct,or that the felts are not pushed in enough. I will pull the 66 off the lift and see if I can get a dimention for you.

I just got my lap top running after it crashed this week and will sort thru my restoration photos to see if I have anything that may help.
PS NOTE TO EVERY ONE

Back up your computer today you just never know when it may crash.Mine was a mecanical failure and was able to repair it ,Had I not been able to repair it i would have lost 5 years worth of restoration notes,and pictures

I also have an assembly manual on the 66 I see if It has any dimentions.
