I think he means it's an original 300HP car that has had the engine rebuilt and modified to where it's currently putting out 340HP.

Gentlemen, thank you for your inquiry and answer.

My original numbers matching motor was rebuilt by and with a list of who's-who in the engine field. The "NCRS Top Flight" look on the outside conceals a brute on the inside. Complete engine specifications, pages of component numbers, appraisals, ncrs and auto professional references are availible to any serious buyer. My 1965 is a very well known Southern California Roadster. This car will pass the most discerning scrunity.

Any interest fourum members?

Regards, Dave

Rick (C5Vetter),

I am a NCRS Member. 19 years and 6 Corvettes later...

You are one for semantics. And time on your hands. OK you win. i won't call it original to you.

Although, for the rest of us in the real "Corvette Hobby World" my motor is. With the internal componentry changed and improved; only from the outside my engine is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL TO MY CAR. The TRW's, ARP's, HP's, Roller Rockers, Double Timing Chain, Clevite Cam, Mellig Oil Pump, Brass Freeze Plugs, etc, etc. are not as it left St. Louis. I hope this explanation satisfies you. I also hope that since you are not the one that will be buying my NCRS Top Flight Roadster you will keep your other opinions to yourself. With 800 posts you must be a professional at passive criticism. Find another forum or car to nitpick.

I am not an interested in you as a buyer, forum policeman or critic.

I am happy to answer any questions, supply documentation to any serious potential buyer. This car has nothing to hide, nothing to disclose. It is exactly as I have represented it. Period.

Getting back to my life... Dave

Well La....Tee...Da. I just love it the way you register here to sell your car and then have a snit when someone asks a legitimate question. Not being a member of the NCRS, I don't know their rules. But according to you, if you can't see the changes, then it's perfectly alright to call it original?

Lighten up dude

Brett

BOXXBOYS comments were very hostile. This forum is not the place to verbally attack other members. I hate to say it, but it appears that BOXXBOYS joined CAC for the sole purpose of selling his car then goes off on another member. We all welcome new members, but this was uncalled for. I think this thread should be removed.

Seems like everytime someone has a car for sale there are always a couple of guys who have to tell the owner the car is overpriced or wants to argue with the owner over some issue. I wonder how many of these guys are actually interested in buying the car that is for sale? I feel most of the time they are just trolling for a response!!!!! Geesh, if you guys ain't got anything better to do, go somewhere else. I for one am sick of the petty BS that goes on when someone is trying to sell their vette. If you ain't got something nice to say then keep you frickin hands off the keyboard. Nuff said!!

It was a legitimate question, in my opinion. I didn't think it was a troll, and I certainly don't think it warranted the type of reponse he received. A simple explanation such as "it's the original motor, but I wanted more hp so we took care of that during the rebuild," would have sufficed.... But I really couldn't give two sh*ts either way. -John
