Default turn signals/hazards don't blink

I've tried finding info by searching the forum but everything i've found says that if the turn signal flasher goes out the hazards should still work and vice versa. My turn signals and my hazards both don't flash, the lights just come on solid. Could it still be a flasher or both flashers?

If a bulb blows it won't flash, try starting there.

wouldn't a bulb make it so only one side doesn't flash? What happened was that my signals would flash at normal speed and then would slow down until they were just on without blinking. Then a few minutes later when i used the signal again they would start out normal and then slow down to solid, and now they don't blink at all. I'll check the bulbs though, it's always good to check the easiest stuff first.

If your signals work good, then slow down, sounds to me like your alternator is going out. Or your battery is weak.
Just my thoughts. Gary.

Here is an article on the theory and differences between the turn and hazard flashers. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/framed...n/flashers.htm

A couple of points that jumpped out at me from this are check the bulbs first and make sure thay are the correct ones, not blown or corroded at the contacts. Check the sockets and ground wire next, grounding can be very problematic on our fiberglass bodied cars. Then have the alternator and battery tested and if good, replace the flashers last.
