My Corvette(s):
2005 C6 Coupe, 6speed, Z51, Le Mans Blue
Default C6 v C5

Just taken delivery of a 6 month old C6 6 speed 1SB spec with all the bits, satnav, Z51. So after 3 C5's in a row how do I like it..... answer = ALOT!
No faults on it and a lot of small detail changes that make the new model a great improvement. I think it looks neater for loosing 5 inches in its length yet retaining its unmistakable Corvette look.
1. Open the tailgate after heavy rain and the water runs off the lid into two deep wells, not into the speakers. 2. Electric locks and opening doors, with keyless go. 3. Keyless start, no fumbling for keys and keyhole, no rattling key rings. 4. Seats and interior bit better than C5 but that was pretty good anyway. 5. Improved headup it's clearer and three display choices, headup includes some of the important satnav info making direction finding easier without having to look at a dash screen. A countdown bar to make sure you know exactly where to turn. 6. at last a radio with RDS. 7. Wipers that startup without a great cracking noise, downside is there are no rain sensitive wipers. 8. Magnificent xenon headlamps that actually light the road, essential where I live with miles of unlit country lanes. Great headlamp styling (imo) popups are dated! 9. Journey back from the Dealer in Germany included a mile or so at over 150mph in Germany, tons of power left to go but the speed control kicked in from the passenger seat.
10. And best of all... noticeably more grunt from the extra 55 horses.
Do I like it?
Sure do!
Is it worth spending the difference over a C5?
sure is!
