Default Finally getting settled in...

Those of you that purchased items from our Registry Store, will recall the packages were mailed from Modesto, CA..... Since I retired a year ago we sold our home in CA and now reside in Amarillo, Texas.

It's been quite a Spring and Summer, hopefully things have settled down enough for me to get back to looking to replunish the Registry Store with new hats and other items. I'll need to find another supplier for our embroidery, the shop in CA decided to stiff me and not give me the tape I paid for (embroidery) .. so be it, we shall move forward from here

We are open for suggestions or comments on past items, and what future items everyone would like to see in the Registry Store.

I will try to find a place close by that will handle the merchandise, take your orders, take payment and mail the items. Our old supplier was not interested in stocking or taking orders due to the quanity involved (not enough volume).

Idea's are welcome you can post to this thread, or you can email me
RareL81 at hotmail.com

Thanks for your support for our Registry. Also ideas about improvement to our Web Site are welcome

Bud

Congrats on your retirement and moving is a chore that I sure was difficult, well maybe you're not a pack rat like me.

Last year our hockey league golf tournament gave out golfing vests with the league logo on it. They are awesome and I use it for walking on cool nights not just for golfing, just another idea. They were purchased from Knucklehead Embroibery and they have a web site if it could give you ideas. www.knuckleheadinc.com

Again congrats on retiring and keep your club grooves clean.

Chuck

Bud,

I can't believe you've been retired for a year. Seems like it just happened yesterday.

Chuck,

Thanks for the website, I browsed a bit, and saw a few vests, (sweater type) I am going to contact them and see what they can do for us I also want to check a few places here in Amarillo, THANKS for the suggestion

I'm anal about being organized, I can have ANYONE find a tool or part for me by just directions Like a offset phillips screw driver, 4th drawer down on the left side of the tool box, torq screw driver set with socket adapter ~ Work Bench right hand top drawer small off green color box about 3" x 8"
Now Nanc, That's a different story I haven't seen my 5 iron in months

Bob, yep it was a year August 28th. We left California July 24th 2005 so we've been here in Texas since the end of July ! Time seems to slip away, I have been so busy doing things around the house, I am getting ready to start my garage project , then it's on to the work shop.

I work with a friend that has an embroidery business in his home. You can contact him a g_pembroidering@earthlink.net. His name is Paul and his wife names is Gracie. Phone 804-739-4686. Maybe they can help you in your quest. Tell them I recommended them to you. Glad you are finally settled.

Bud,
Sorry we haven't been in touch. Still thinking of all the good times and wish you the best of luck in Amarillo. Brad is about to graduate and been involved I've been spending a bunch on the horses lately, couple of wins last year with a 2yr old. Hopefully we can get back on the road.
You get to Shreveport, bring your clubs and give me a call.

Glad your all settled in, i have been wondering about when the store would be restocked. Id really like a hat, please make sure its the same quality as the prior ones. No truckdriver hats or any of those thick billed ones you cant break in and make you look like a goof! As far as ideas, there are lots of possabilities, heres a few of my ideas

Sunglasses
Tank Tops (Nothing better then a tank top on and the t-tops off on a summer day!)
Keychains
License plates (i searched for a plate that said just 1981 or L81, couldnt find anything except high priced personalized)
Towels
Calanders

Im willing to bet calanders and Key chains would sell well for you, but think all my ideas are decent. Anyways looking forward to it! Grats on the new home

Coffe cups or travel mugs with the L81 Registry's logo would be something I'd be interested in (and hopefully a few others as well.)

Have fun down there! Enjoy for those of us who are still living the workaday life! ' Gwen G.
