My Corvette(s):
1989 Black
Default Door Panel Adjustment

Both of the door panels on my 1989 seem to be barely hanging on where they mount/clip at the top by the window glass. Being that the weather is suppose to be mild this weekend I would like to try to adjust/fix them. Are there any installation instructions anywhere that I can download & print? I have no idea where to begin.

Thanks in advance!
TONY

This shud give you some idea of how to fix your problem. Usually a small "L" bracket will help.

thar thread helps some. but what do you do if the top black plastic peice that runs the top of the door panel has missing mounting studs? new ones are about $100 bucks??
i took my pass side panel off to get to my dead speaker amp and to change inner and outer window seals. man my panels look pretty scary on the inside and they're not made of much, what that just abs plastic.

That door panel trim piece is very expensive. $60 for a little piece of plastic. You can't repair the cheap plastic molded-in studs, they just snap right off if you look at them. One of mine broke and I just glued it into place for now, it looks okay for a quick fix. Eventually I have to break down and buy new ones.
