My Corvette(s):
86 Black Vert "Indy 500 Pace car replica"
Default Well a hardtop from a 96 fit my 86?

I dont know exactly how the hardtop goes on, but I would assume it uses the same type of pins on the deck lid. Also how does it attach to the windshield frame? Has anyone done this?

Thanks,
Craig

Yes but you have to modify your car. The mounts on the windshield are different.

If you search over on CF you should be able to find posts from people who've done it and posted lists of parts.

Or you can call Superior Chevy, I think people have mentioned that the CF contact there knows what parts you need for the upgrade.

and most years the 'verts don't have the bolts up front at all. (it could be all years, can't remember now).

Basically, the hardtop uses the coupe's mounting bolts for the front. with the top down you should see a sort of 'punch out' circle on the top of your mounting areas, next to the attachment for the convertible top.

what you'll have to buy is the parts off a '96... there were 3 different bolt patters for C4 roofs. 96 is <obviously> in the latest group.
