Default Where to buy pig-tails

Just finished an opti & spark plug wire replacement on a 96 LT1. The connector for the 2-pin temp sensor on the water pump needs to be replaced.

Is the dealer the only place...anybody else sell these things

Try here

You should also be able to get it at any Delco dealer...I just looked it up on the DELCO site

Pep Boys in Indianapolis carries the more common connectors. NAPA has them too, and can special order less popular pieces. Or, look for an AC Delco dealer because Delco supplies the dealers with pigtails. The dealer buys AC Delco and marks them up.

If you want to replace the housing only, you can remove the wiring connectors from the housing and install them in a new housing. The advantage to doing that is you will not have a splice.

Thanks for the tip on AutoRewire.com. I'll be using them sometime in the future for a street rod.

Actually what I was looking for was some sort of kit that had the most common connectors. Kinda have something on the shelf for those middle of the nights events when these things are needed most.

The local Delco parts store didn't stock it (??), Autozone was a special order, and ORielly had the ECT sensor with the pigtail. Now I have a backup sensor!

I think I'll take a pair of wire cutters with me the next visit to a junk yard.
