Default Guage compatability?

I came across a guage panel complete with all guages off a 78. My question is are all guages compatable with my 82? Particularly the fuel guage. Thanks in advance.

hey if you need the 82's fuel gauge I will trade you the one out of my 82, were putting digital gauges in ours so the factory ones wont be needed anymore

Topless,
I'll get back to you on that if I don't go with the guage panel. I'm not sure wether my fuel guage is bad. I read full when I top off but the guage will not drop below 1/2. From there out I'm on my own. Haven't gotton in to troubleshooting yet. If I can pick up a complete set of guages with bezel cheap, they're worth keeping around.
