Default Factory correct wheel

Does anyone KNOW if original 1968 7'' rallye wheel was painted
completly argent silver or was the inside semi flat w/silver on the
showing face?

Since it sounds like you're going for originality you'll need silver and black paint. First, paint the inside of the wheels flat black, let them dry then flip them over and paint the outside silver. Don't tape the holes during either process, some silver overspray is supposed to be visible on the inside of the wheels. One of the catalogs sells a kit with both correct paint colors but I can't find it right now, when I do, I'll let you know unless my brain forgets to remember .

Thanks for reply. Yes I am going for original but I'm not a fanatic
who's gonna fly stateside for a corvette swap meet in hopes of
obtaining that elusive original dateMatch!Number##ffACTORY
with GMflawedTooledSCARREDflanged vacuum tank.

Your 68 wheels should technically be painted "argent silver-green", not argent silver. Don't remember when they changed, but 68 and 69 wheels definitely have the "greenish silver" tint, not the "plain old" silver. Chuck
