Default PKE problems

I have a '94 convertable and I am having problems with interior lights
coming off and on while I am driving down the road. The door trys to lock and unlock? This is a random action while driving down the road. From what I have read it is probably the fob and it's senitivity. I have put a new battery in it so I do not think it is the battery. As I have read there are many problems associated with it, and other than disabling the fob or throwing it out the window...I have not heard any solutions.Has anyone come up with alternate solutions?

Don't throw it away just yet. You may be having a problem with door ajar switches. Do a search on that subject.

Does this happen when you drive without your PKE fob attached with the keys? If not, it could be something with the door switches. Check all the fuses--maxi and mini. Check the connection at the starter solenoid. I know there's an interrupt relay that'll shut that off to keep the battery from running down once the alarm is activated.
But you might want to take it to a reputable shop and have them check the wiring. Good luck.

NO my keys have always been with the fob. Thanks for your ideas. I'll give them a try! If they do not work, I'll be back.
