Default Sniped on manuals on Ebay. :-(

I hate Snipers! Had a good deal on a '84 GM Shop Manual as well as the Electrical Manual on Ebay and some sniper snatched it with 2 seconds to go. Just call me P*SSED! I'd really like to :blow the guy....

I did. The sniper won though. I think that they have something that waits until the last millisecond or something and then outbids. Not fair and should be outlawed by Ebay.

What's the matter with sniping?

Would you have bid more? If so, why didn't you?

The auction ended with the person bidding the most winning. You are ****ed because that wasn't you. The seller got what they deserved for the item and you didn't get it on the cheap.

Does the fact that the other guy put his bid in right at the end really matter? If you were willing to bid more then you should have.

Try AuctionSniper or StealthBid if you want to get revenge. . .

Everything is wrong with it. You bid what you're willing to pay, now you have to add another party a percentage to automate a last second bid? Why not get lawyers involved in it and really blow the decent price out of proportion.

Esnipe only charges 25 cents for a bid - that's not going to "blow a decent prce out of proportion".
I agree with Erik and others - the snipers are only bidding what they are willing to pay. If they are willing to pay more, it doesn't really matter who or when the bid is put in.
If the sniped bid is not higher than your bid, you still win the item. Like 6 Shooter said - more smack! It's called free enterprise gentlemen. If you can't fight 'em; join 'em. At the very least, don't boo hoo about losing a bid. If you are a seller, it can work in your favor.

High bidder wins no matter when you bid - when it starts or seconds before it ends. He who has the most $$$ is what it's all about. That's why it's called an "Auction."

ok... lemme put this "to bed" hopefully.

I know the last bid wins, yada, yada, yada... I just feel that it's unethical to use a bidding service to do your bidding while you're out partying, sleeping, or whatever.

You want it? Freekin' *be there*. You *don't* want it? Go out and party.

It just really p's me off. I guess I'm just "old school" and believe that things should be fair. And that if you're out partying or whatever, you shouldn't be able to get an item. If you're too busy doing something else, then you should loose.

Sarcasim noted Dons97. ;-)

Obviously people today don't give a rats a$$ about fairness!! They are only out to get what they want. It doesn't matter if it's fair or not.

I was probably born about 100 years too early, when people had standards And "ME" wasn't one of them.....
