Default Little Rubber Trim bits in Glass Roof Panel

Hi Folks,

My glass roof has these little black rubbery trim pieces all around the back and sides. The trim pieces are falling off and underneath it looks like white double-sided sticky foam tape.

The tape is a pain to peel off. Anyone have any suggestions for an easy way to get the foam tape off? After that, should I just leave the trim pieces off, or should I put them back with some new double-sided tape? What kind of tape would you recommend for replacing the trim pieces?

Thanks for any help/info.

-Burt

3M makes a product, it is a trim adhesive that will work very well. You have to make sure you mask both surfaces, spray it on both surfaces and then wait about five minutes and join them together. Make sure the alignment is correct because once you stick them together they are stuck.

You do not need to remove the double sided tape, you can just spray the adhesive on it, again masking very carefully and shielding all areas not to be glued.

Thanks for the tip Mark. Where did you get it, Pep Boys?

Any body shop supply store will have the adhesive and it comes in two different strengths, either will work for that application.
