My Corvette(s):
1965 Nassau Blue & 2006 VY Z06
Default Head I.D. for my '65 Vette

I am trying to confirm the origins of the heads on my '65. The VIN says it started off it's life as a base 250 hp Powerglide. The left (driver's side) has the following casting on the head (upside down): GM 2 3782461 D65The right side has: GM 4 38890462 D66As near as I can tell, the left one is "all 327 c.i., 1965" and the right one is "a 1967 300 or 350 hp" made in April 1966. Can anyone help me with this? assuming I am close with the above, will the two different heads actually be different in any important way? I am reasonably sure that I have the flat pistons, not the higher compression domed ones. Any help will be apreciated.
