so how loud are these, or are the quiet??

they are a little louder than stock.

can you measure the I/D of the inlet pipe that hooks up to the rea Y-pipe. i have 1986 and not sure our exhaust are the same since i have L98 and you have a LT1, right.

you should have 2 1/2 and the mufflers are 2 3/4. lt1 exhaust is 2 3/4.you can have them welded on. my elims are welded on they made my elims and welded them for 50. they shouldnt charge much to weld them if you bring it down with mufflers off.
