My Corvette(s):
1965 Coupe L76 / 1978 L82
Default rear blower motor - '65 coupe (don't worry, no help needed :)

when i got my '65 coupe last year the control cable for the rear blower motor was frozen up and inoperatable so when it was in the paint shop I took the opportunity to go over one day and remove it, ordered a new one and when we reassembled the car after painting I installed the new cable.
Now that i've had a (small) time to drive the car in the summer heat and humidity I can now report that the cable is working fine, the motor blows very hard............. and it's effectiveness is......USELESS.

Actually, I'm not surprised since I heard that it never worked very well in reducing the heat build-up in these cars and that it was only put in for two years for that reason, but I was hoping that I'd be able to see even a tiny amount of difference, but no.
Oh well, at least it's something that wasn't working previously and it's working now and just on principle I prefer to have everything on the car work, even if it is useless. That sucker is pretty loud too but luckily it doesn't make a difference to me there either as I still can't hear it over the sound of the sidepipes

Tie some pretty coloured ribbons to the outlet. At least then you'll be able to see soimething happening, even if you can't feel it.

my 65 coupe blower motor cable is frozen too. I think the main purpose was to help defrost the rear window. Only ice cold AC can cut down on the heat in a coupe!
