Default Bloomington update

Where are all the solid axle and mid year owners ? I was the only solid axle in the forum parking :toetap: There were only 3 midyears It was like C5 fest out there. I would guess out of the 1000's of Vettes less than 75 were solid axles or midyears. I got pics of most of them and almost all the cars in the special collection. I'll post them when I get home next week.

It is still frickin' hot today. It was supposed to cool off today but the temp at the bank said 98 :ack: Just stopped into my room to grab a quick shower, cool off and get some cheaper grub. $10 dollars for a sandwich and a coke. olleyes: Now I'm off for the road tour.

I've also decided the best way to avoid going back rt 80 is to detour to the Corvette Museum and go back 64 and 81. s: Seems perfectly logical to me and I haven't been to the museum in a while and I'd like to see if I can take the tour and see them build a C6.

My thoughts exactly.......in Bowling Green.

Mine was the only C2 in town, and Rowdy's was the only C1. Sadly, few seem to be driven any distance any more. I'm driving a 21-hour round trip to Carlisle next.

Drive 'em.

But that Old 67 sure looked good going down the road with its younger sibling

I'm hoping to get the 76 back roadworthy to take to Carlisle, spent some of the last two days replaceing the brake lines (I don't work as fast as I used to)

Well lets start a drive to get em back on the road.

The road tour was fun there had to be at least 500 cars. I was shocked at how many older ones turned out for the road tour. Unfortunately I had to cut it a little short to give a guy that broke down a ride back to his hotel Can't leave a Corvette brother stranded. He was getting his car judged tomorrow and put the original Firestones back on it and 2 of them blew out during the road tour taking out a little fiberglass with it. Did a few burnouts for the crowd One house actually had a portable Christmas tree. out by the road to start you to start you. Thats a good way to get people to stop in front of your house and do burnouts.

Gonna go find a good steak and a cold brew.

Thanks for the update it makes us feel a little closer to the action. I am sure that many others just like me wish they could be there having a blast too!

Glad to see that you are driving your car and enjoying it. They need to be driven. Have a great trip home!

Take care,
Brian
