Courtesy Light

I have a 1980 vert and the passanger side courtesy light is hanging down. It has a bracket attached with two prongs that slides into two holes. The problem is I cannot find where it goes. I looked in the manual and it shows it attached to the kick plate, however there are no holes in the plate. Can someone look and tell me where it gos? Thanks in advance.

There should be a metal bracket up high on the kick panel that it clips into. I have a pic if you want to pm me your email address.
