They'd look sweet with a triangular air cleaner, no?

Yea a stock appering air cleaner would do the trick. I have to order the March performance pulley set for my car this week This is a link to there web site http://www.marchperf.com/pg58b.html

If I would have planned alittle better,I would have purchased the barry grant set up.But this month is almost as bad as the paint job month. The money is just flying out the door quicker then I can bring it home.Bob I am POSITIVE you know the feeling.

Oh No...!!!! I got the Itch..!!!!!!!!

Read This....Ok.... Were open for discusion on this one ..is it hype??? Or is it Truth..?? Any one have an idea on price...Summit is no longer a BG Distributer...I called Jeg's for a price...I'll find out tomorrow.
Who wants to guess... The SB Version is around $2400.00. The Text says it comes with a "Rush Air Cleaner"... What's That??

Quote:

Barry Grant’s latest SixShooter is dedicated to the Chevy Big-block. Suiting both configurations—oval and rectangular port—it comprises three Demon 250-cfm two-barrel carburetors with associated throttle linkage and fuel inlets; an elegant Triple-D intake manifold with a neat-looking water neck housing; and a distinctive Rush air cleaner arrangement.

Because of positioning, the Big-block SixShooter provides an evenly distributed and finely atomized charge to the cylinders. On dynamometer tests, the SixShooter delivered 494 HP and 540 lb/ft torque compared with the Speed Demon 850 which produced 455 HP and 518 lb/ft torque. It’s also easy to adjust—just three screws—two for idle-mixture and one for idle-speed. And, since it cruises on its center carburetor, the SixShooter is surprisingly fuel-efficient.

And the GM 502 test says 502 HP @567Lbs Tq.....with 32" Headers 2" tubes and an Holley 850CFM especially made for the 502....

Mark

I am not sure if its hype or not.But it sure looks good.

In my case I am more interested in the WOW factor of it. I will have this for my car but not right now. Rush it seems from there web site is one of there product lines.

I tried to contact Barry Grants tecnical support via email and the phone lines and was not able to aquire any information.I could never get thru on the phone lines.I was left on hold.after 46 minutes is when I finally hung up the phone. And via email I waited 2 days for an email reply only to be told to re-submit my request on a form they use on there web site.
I had sent a link to them with my engine specs,a description of the cars use.and what trans was going in.After looking at the special form they wanted me to fill out it seems the only information that was pertinat, that was left out was what type of exchaust I was using.I dont even own ther product yet and so far there tecnical support has been a disapointment.
I hope I dont have a problem and need tecnical support,as I would be very angry at myself for being pre warned that it will be hard to get intouch with tecnical support.

Mark if I had the extra money I would purchase that six shooter in a heart beat, but as I have said in the past I just have to be able to know when to say when. And for me I have to put all of my resources to finishing my car and driving it.

Good Luck

Well I think The BG guys are full of hype. I spoke with my man at Jeg's . He emailed them and got a reply in about 1 hour. The six Shooter for the BB won't be out untill late summer of 2005. The cost will be around the same as the SB modlel.......

Around $2400.00. After speaking with Bill Bradley...the Six shooter is more hype then Performance.... Speaking only here about use on the 502. There were no rpm specs or graphs to back up the HP & Tq Claims on the six shooter on the 502.

As far as Idol goes and low speed operation the six shooter might be smoother and give better mileage but at WOT and kick down ..the pump shot from the 2 bbl is not the same as the 850 Holley at kick down and WOT.

Now I must say the Six Shooter is a great looking piece and worth the money as compared to and original set up at ..$5000.00 and up. And..it does come with an Air Cleaner assembly.

The General Engineered amd flow tested the 850 just for the 502 and it's cam.

I think I'll stay with the General and not the Hype...
