L-81 Registry at CruiseFest 2005
I never did make it into the museum this year. No matter, I paid my respects. That's what matters.

An honorary member
Just because y'all can't be there in person, doesn't mean we don't bring a little of you with us.
That hat gets a lot of mileage, Bud. I really like it! And given the source, it's even more special.
There were only about four C3's representing this year. I'll be damned if mine is ever going to become a trailer queen or "I'm too sore to drive it" and not show up. If you guys can do it cross country, then there's no excuse for me or anyone else!

Evolution - can you email me a copy of the original image to tim@l81vetteregistry.com? I would like to put that on our webpage (and any other registry related images)!
Thanks and good work!

I think there were just 3 L81 members there. Andre, Nut and myself. I did take a stroll down the walk to visit the brick but Andre had a much better idea.
Way to go Blendermaster.
Tom
P. S. I wore my L81 shirt and didn't spill anything on it.

I too wore my L81 shirt proudly and snapped a pick of da brick for suitable framing. Bud...... Andre is indeed a worthy honorary member of the L81 family (even without the blender).

Next year we should try to have a L81 event within the Cruisefest. An L81 display and some L81 specific trophies and awards would be cool. It will likely be back at BG again and I know some have a few gripes with the NCM and the way things worked out in the past. The big difference this year was that CruiseFest was not an NCM event. Sure we had access and had a display there but most of the event was planned at the hotel and other venues. Next year there will be even more events around BG so there will be a lot to do even for those that don't want to spend a lot of time at the NCM. I even heard rumblings of a first ever CAC World Golf Championship.
Dale is going to see to it that it doesn't rain too so that will help. It rained a lot this year. Of course we got more rain at Auburn last year but it all happened in about an hour.
There is even talk of adding events on Thursday which will basically add a day to the event. Several people arrived on Wednesday so this is something to look at.
Nut,
It was a pleasure to finally meet you. I heard a lot of comments on your car also. All positive. It was fun to tell people about your car being he only documented 1981 primer car. That got some reaction.
Tom
