Default Offset Trailing Arms

I'm thinking about putting offset trailing arms on my '80 Vette so I can run wider tires. Does anybody know how much extra backspacing I get with these arms? Since the ads say you can run up to a 10" wide wheel, I assume that you can get an extra 1.5"-2" of backspacing with a 15" dia. wheel. I'd like to run 15"X10" chrome rally wheels. Have any of you used 17" or 18" wheels with the offset trailing arms? I'd like to know the biggest rear tire I can run without modifying the wheelwells (and without them sticking out past the fenders!). I'm trying to decide whether to put ZL-1 flares on the rear or not. If I can get fairly big tires under the fenders then I won't cut up the body. By the way, I bought this car new in the fall of 1980, it's all original with 80,000 miles on it-I think it's about time to do a little hot rodding with it. While I'm at it, I'll probably do a complete rear suspension upgrade (360# fiberglass spring, strut rod kit, etc).

I just put them on my 75. I purchased them from Van Steel. I asked them for detailed info on what could go on there and they said that I can get 9" with 5 inch backspacing. They said you could go with 285X40X17 or 18. I've been running my stock wheels for now, so I haven't tried out their suggestion yet (gotta wait for some extra cash). Hope this helps.
