My Corvette(s):

Default 4sp trans fluid???

I am getting closer to getting my 81 back on the road again; installed the fuel tank today, that was fun....not!

I had my super T-10 checked out while the engine block was at the shop and now its time to put it back in. But need to fill it first. What do I use? I have not checked the manual or anything, just thought I would ask first.

Later,

Use SAE 80W GL-5 or SAE 80W-90 GL-5 gear lubricant. Or more simply put - 90 weight gear oil.

It may be less messy to fill it after you get it back in.

I just changed the oil in my 4-spd with Royal Purple 75W-90. It made a tremendous improvement. It feels more powerful and shifts more smoothly.Book says 3 pints (1 and a half Quarts) Just fill until it runs out the filler plug.
