I don't have them on my Vette, but I do run 'em on my truck. I like 'em.

You might search over on the CF. They've been discussed there in the past.

I put them on my 94 about two years ago. When I first put them on I thought they were the greatest - really helped the harsh ride, tamed the rear end sidestep problem so I wasn't afraid to drive fast on bumpy roads.

A year or so later, I realized that the ride seemed pretty harsh again. I don't know if the shocks deteriorated or if my butt just got used to them or what, but I'm not sure I'd spend the high price again.

I have them on my 86 and 94.
I beat the crap out of them on the 86 with 1.60 60' times and them work for me.
As for the price I could not find a cheaper shock to do the job for me.
Dana 44 86 and dana 36 on the 94.
No wheel hop.

I read up on these at all the forums, epinions, etc. and the jury is still out. Expensive experiment.

Anybody running KYB's? I've heard they are good, and relatively inexpensive.

I just put KYB's on mine & love 'em. Called Mid America and negotiated the price down to $135 for all four. I could have spent more and was close to doing it (Edelbrocks, Konis etc...) but decided to go w/ the KYB's & I'm happy I did. Had the car lowered at the same time I added the shocks & the KYB's keep the car plenty stiff enough - even lowered.

KYB's have my recommendation.

I just installed the KYB's on my '88. I think they're a great shock. They give a firm ride without being too harsh. I got mine for $121.95 including shipping from Jeg's.

It wasn't all roses getting them from Jeg's. They sent me 3 vette shocks and a truck shock for crying out loud. So I had to send the truck shock back (they paid for the shipping) and then wait for the vette shock to arrive. I didn't need the shocks for an emergency or anything, but I was still kinda p.o.ed about the whole thing. A truck shock? C'mon who in their right mind when packing that thought "ok, this guy want's 3 corvette shocks and a pickup shock" Jeez.

OK, now I feel a bit better. Just kiddin'!

That is a bit laughable though. I mean, how many guys order 3 shocks for the 'vette & then say, "what the heck, let me get 1 shock for my truck as well".
