Default shift light?

anyone install a shift light? If so where did you install yours? I have a proform shift light that I may install (still going to try and sell the car at bloomington gold) but would like to get some idea's on shift light location. I was thinking top of the dashboard.

I first tried it here on the column



Then I tired it here near the mirror:



Finally settling on this location under the dash pad:

I WANT ONE, I NEED ONE, might go with a Harlen, and it WILL be at the bottom of the A post, at the dash
